Affiliate Program Terms

These terms govern the KIKUGO affiliate program. By applying to the program, or by sharing your referral link, you agree to them.

Eligibility

The program is open to creators and site owners with an audience of Japanese learners. You need a KIKUGO account, applications are reviewed manually, and one affiliate profile is allowed per person.

Commission

You earn 40% of the net revenue of every yearly subscription attributed to you — on the first payment and on every yearly renewal, for as long as the subscription stays active. Net revenue means the amount KIKUGO actually receives after any discounts and refunds. A different rate may be agreed in writing for specific partnerships.

Yearly plan only

Only the yearly plan is commissionable. Monthly subscriptions never earn a commission. If a subscription later switches away from the yearly plan, it stops earning commissions.

Attribution

Attribution works exclusively through a 90-day tracking cookie set by your referral link; the most recent link a visitor followed wins. There is no coupon code — a sale is yours only when the subscriber came through your link.

Refunds

Refunded revenue is deducted: a partial refund reduces the related commission proportionally and a full refund cancels it. Deductions apply to your next payout.

Payouts

Commissions are paid manually once per month, 30 days after the end of the month in which they were earned, once your balance reaches $50. Balances below the threshold roll over to the next month.

Prohibited conduct

Self-referral (subscribing through your own link), bidding on KIKUGO brand keywords in paid search, posting your referral link on coupon or deal sites, spam, and misleading claims about the product are all prohibited. Violations forfeit unpaid commissions and end the partnership.

Changes and termination

We may update these terms or the commission rate with reasonable notice; changes only apply to future payments. Either side can end the partnership at any time. Commissions already earned under these terms remain payable.
